Improve navigation

I've mentioned this before, but navigation among projects/test suites/test cases is horrible.

1) I should be able to reliably get back to any context between browser sessions. If I was looking at a test case, go back to looking at that test case. Invariably I have to re-navigate to project, list test suites/cases, manage, select test suite, find test case. Let me bookmark *any* location within the app. I hate trying to communicate someone a test case on which to base an execution by giving navigation instructions instead of a URL.

2) make the navigation tabs actually be tabs. why I have to select a tab then select a header underneath it is confusing.

3) Make it easier to do one-off test executions. I have a test case, I want to run a single execution based on that.

4) make it less confusing to set up test executions. I see most users take 3-4 tries to actually set one up. Partly this is due to unfamiliarity with the concept, partly it's "what do I do next?", partly it's because if you don't do things in the right order, either nothing happens or you get a misleading error message.

Hello Timothy,

For requirement number 1 - It has already been taken and you should see it implemented in one of the future releases of TestCollab.

For requirement number 2 - If you mean to say that on selection of main navigation tab, by default the page associated with the first sub tab should be shown, then this is already on the roadmap. But if you mean something else then please clarify your requirement.

For requirement number 3 - Do you like a test execution to be directly created from test case view and assigned to the currently logged in user?

For requirement number 4 - We suggest users should at least go through the online user guide once before using the application. The guide is available at http://support.testcollab.com/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=4.

Your opinion on enhancements in execution assignment process are also welcome.

For #3: anything would be better than the current scenario. it's not obvious how to go from a test case/suite to a test execution. Certainly a direct link within a test case to either start or create/assign a test execution would be useful.

For #4: I went through the user guide and still managed to get it wrong several times. Do some basic user testing with two new users and it'll be obvious.
